A kit with everything you need to repair damage to your plush, maintain traveled-with plush, or make small alterations. This WOULD NOT be a white label kit full of unnecessary items that have little to no durability. All items included would be able to produce long term use stitching and would be intended to do lasting repair work. It isn't something we'd be selling to profit- we'd be buying items in bulk so you can get everything you need at a good price without any guess work or paying a lot more to buy them piecemeal. This kit would be useful for any plush (including weighted,) fursuits, and cosplay.
The kit would include:
- Off-white heavy duty upholstery thread (STRONG! We use this for almost everything!)
- Transparent thread (for the ultimate hidden thread)
- 7 lengths of doll needles (for thread sculpting)
- 6 sizes of hand sewing needles (for various sizes of repair)
- Flat bottom, broad pin cushion (can't roll away and can hold longer needles)
- A pair of locking hemostats (for stuffing difficult to reach areas)
- Self-adhesive tape (a thimble-free, sensory friendly way to protect your fingers)
- Seam ripper (for fixing sewing mistakes or opening a closed plush to add extras)
- Small snips (for snipping thread, not for fabric cutting)
- A QR code to a site with helpful repair tutorials, as well as links to all the included materials if you ever want to replace these tools with the same thing!
There would be some optional upgrades that wouldn't be strictly necessary but might be desired:
- +$5 for black heavy duty upholstery thread (ladder stitching tends to negate the need for color matching thread, and black is twice as expensive to get, but you might still prefer it!)
- +$10 for a black 8.5in long zipping case that can fit all these supplies! No need to get more than you need- if you already have a sewing kit you can save on getting the
