We can do any size in the 6 inch to 72 inch range, any species, and any quantity! Humanoids, anthros, animals of all sorts, I can design it. Get 1 single plush or 100+ to sell them yourself! By ordering a custom plush here you have the opportunity to give input throughout the entire process, from concept art to final product, with however many edits are necessary until you have an end result you are satisfied with.

What you need to start your custom plush order:
- A reference that shows your entire character clearly! This is extremely important if you want the plush to be accurate. Ideally this will be a visual reference. Using a detailed text description is possible but it does come with an additional charge.
- The full plush payment. I do not provide payment plans, but Etsy checkout has a built-in one called Klarna! Look in to that service if you're in need of staggering your payments.
- A design I can use. I won't make 3rd party copyright designs or reproduce certain styles. This includes things like pokemon, my little pony style, and copying other plush from photos or media. I also will not accept hateful or NSFW plush, and reserve the right to reject any project I choose. If you have any doubts about your idea please contact me!
The order process, from placement to plush:
- Place an order! Simply select the size you want from the custom plush listing (keep in mind size refers to the plush's longest dimension, be that height or length!) and add on any relevant extras. Then check out! If you're unsure what to order or don't see what you want listed, please feel free to contact me any time. We can do more than what is listed, those are just the most common!
- Send your reference! I work Monday through Friday until 5pm, but I might reach out to you outside of business hours so I can get to work ASAP. You will be contacted by me at the e-mail attached to your order from the lairbrewservice@gmail.com email address for your reference material. Work can't begin until I have it, so please do keep an eye out! Once refs are received you will be added to the plush trello board. (PLEASE NOTE: If you want a project to be secret just let me know!)
- Receive your concept art! I start with a sketch that we go back and forth on, and eventually you are given a fully lined and colored sheet of your character's plush concept! I will work on it back and forth with you until you're ready to give the final approval. Once given final approval the concept art cannot be changed, so please feel free to be honest about what you want! If it isn't on the sheet it won't be on the plush.
- Patterning begins! At this point the final concept sheet with full specs is sent to my manufacturer, who starts making the first draft of your plush. I will be sent photos once it is complete and I will review them with you, unless you specifically select to not be involved and to have me handle all edits independently.
- I will send detailed feedback and further artwork. This process repeats until either you are satisfied or I approve the plush autonomously depending on your choice! If you have ordered multiple plush at once, approved plush are held back until all of them can ship at once.
- Your plush ships! I will receive it and be able to look it over in detail- sometimes problems are not visible until the plush is in hand. If that is the case, we just begin the adjustments above again. If BJ approval was a part of your order I now record that for you. I will also be photographing the plush if I have time, but won't delay shipping to do so. If it looks correct I send it safely right to you!

What else should you know?
There are limits to the details that can be reproduced as plush!
Your character will likely be simplified to make them work as a plush. The smaller the plush, the fewer details it can fit. Some details may not be reproducible, like transparency, large amounts of specific/thin markings, small text, extreme scale/hair/feather/outfit detail, and hard materials like plastic or metal. Some things like gradients might need to be changed. Breasts are not recommended for smaller plush and will be automatically omitted unless I am asked for otherwise.
Surface details are accomplished with fabric printing, embroidery, and appliqué. I can't guarantee a technique will or won't be used. Clothing is not made to be removable and will be permanently on the plush. Things like lights, scents, digital displays and animatronics are not currently available. Please remember the colors of the plush you receive may be different than what you see in photographs due to screen differences! However I will do my best to take clear photographs in good lighting to make sure you have the best idea possible.
But don't let that discourage you from being creative! I will do my absolute best to come up with workable solutions, and if you have any questions or concerns about your idea you are more than welcome to contact me at any time! I do not charge for quotes.
This is a lengthy process!
I cannot provide an expected turnaround time for the complete process, as this varies massively based on time of year, current workload, the detail and size of the plush, and the number of iterations it takes before you are happy with the finished project. As such please order well in advance of any specific dates. There is no express service and no guarantee on time from order placed to final plush arriving on your door. Please only embark on this journey if you are willing to be patient!
However, you will never be left in the dark! Updates can be checked any time on Trello! These will show what stage your plush is at, where it is in line, what the current workload is like, and finished projects. All projects are marked with dates for certain milestones. I do my best to keep it up to date as soon as I receive relevant information. You will still be contacted personally for the major steps!
Order, Shipping and Receiving details!
Please only place your order when you know what it is you want and you are positive you want it! There are no refunds once an order is placed. By placing an order for a custom plush you agree to the long wait, and to the potential simplification of your character to make it possible. There is also no changing characters once you have submitted references, no changes to the concept art once you have approved it for patterning to start, and no changes to the finished plush once you have approved the final draft. To make these specific changes at those specific steps will waste time and hard work. I am always open to answering questions before you check out!
Shipping is ordinarily done through USPS and cost is calculated based on an estimate of the weight at checkout. For domestic orders, shipping is free. For international orders, you do have to pay shipping but just the initial estimate- if the final plush costs more than expected to send then I will be covering it, provided it is not a stuffed jumbo! All orders come with tracking service. I will not send untracked packages.
I am not responsible for items that are damaged or lost in the mail. Because of the one-of-a-kind nature of these items and the way in which they are made I can't simply send you a new one! However, you will be offered the ability to have a replacement made using the same pattern made for a steeply discounted price. I really want you to have your plush!

This is a joint process!
I do not pattern or sew the plush, that is my partner manufacturer! I do concept art, then I do all the communicating/additional art/everything else involved while working with a professional manufacturer. This way you get to sit back and just wait for the plush to arrive worry free! I've got the design and industry experience and the business relationships to get this part of the process done. This manufacturer has access to state-of-the-art machinery not typically available to hobbyists, and they are paid a price they set with the full knowledge that I am placing a 1 plush order, not a bulk quantity order. I do not lie to my manufactures about end quantity. The rest of the cost is for the art and my hours worked + specialized knowledge.
This process also involves you unless you opted out! I will ask for input at crucial points along the way. Work can't continue until your input is given in these cases, so please be ready to respond! You have 1 month from the time I ask for input is before I automatically approve the current draft and send it off to the provided address.
